QUEENSBURY, N.Y. (NEWS10) - More than 25 works by artists from around the Warren County area are up for auction this month. The Warren County Historical Society is hosting a silent auction featuring work from artists featured in a recent art show. Viewing and bidding take place across Friday and Saturday, Aug. 18 and 19, running 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day at SUNY Adirondack's Dearlove Hall in Queensbury. HALFMOON, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- All Halfmoon senior citizens are invited to a free picnic at the Halfmoon Town Park on Monday, August 21. ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Watervliet woman pleaded guilty to submitting hundreds of fraudulent forms seeking reimbursement for therapy and travel. Two men killed in a St. Louis County shootout

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. -- Two men were killed in a shootout inside a home in the 2900 block of Old Hanley Road early Monday morning. Police are calling the incident a double murder.Officers were called to the home for a report of a shooting at around 1:50 a.m. They found two people suffering from gunshot wounds. EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. - Back to school is starting Monday for multiple school districts in the area, including East St. Louis School District 189. Classes officially got underway at 7:30 a.m. at East St. Louis Senior High School.Back-to-school welcome signs were all around the high school Monday morning. Man charged with burglarizing a St. Louis County nursing home

FLORISSANT, Mo. -- A St. Louis County man faces felony charges for burglarizing a nursing home. Andrew Novosad, 43, is being held on a cash-only $75,000 bond.Officers were called to the Crystal Creek Nursing Home on New Florissant Avenue on Monday, July 31. Man tries to break into multiple Chino Hills homes, SBSD says

A Claremont man was arrested after trying and failing to burglarize two Chino Hills homes early Monday morning, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department.In the first burglary attempt, which occurred at 1:23 a.m. in the 14000 block of Evening Primrose Place, a man tried to open several doors in the home's backyard, though he had left by the time deputies arrived, officials said in a news release. Less than 20 minutes later, another burglary attempt was reported, this time in the 3100 block of Giant Forest Loop, which officials noted is "near the residence on Evening Primrose Palace."Investigators didn't find the burglar at this home, either, though they located Nathan Chow, 26, "in the backyard of another residence" on Giant Forest Loop, they said.Chow was booked into the West Valley Detention Center on a charge of attempted residential burglary.
