(KRON) -- The San Jose Police Department is at the scene of a deadly collision involving a pedestrian and a garbage truck early Tuesday morning.Police responded to the fatal collision at 3:23 a.m. in the 40 block of S. Jackson Avenue near Interstate 680 and Alum Rock Avenue. The incident happened in the parking lot of Jackson Square. San Joaquin and Alameda counties have highest violent crime rates involving guns

(BCN) -- For over a decade, San Joaquin and Alameda counties have had the highest rates of violent crimes involving guns among California's 15 largest counties, according to a study.The Public Policy Institute of California, in a research it published on Monday, said that nearly 40% of violent crimes from 2010 to 2022 in San Joaquin and Alameda counties involved firearms.
